July 3rd Events

6 pm – Circumnavigation Bike Ride
This event is unsanctioned. Gathering of bicycle riders that meet up at Star Park and ride around (circumnavigate) the entire “island” traditionally on the evening before the 4th.  See video from a previous year.

6:30 pm – All-Class Reunion
Held at Feast & Fareway at the Golf Course.

July 4th Events 

5 am – Wake up & get your spot along Orange Ave for the parade. You can’t set up before 5am – however, you should get there by 4:30 am and wait across the street from ‘your spot’ if you want front row seating on the curb or grassy median! Tip, you can also take the ferry over from downtown San Diego to Coronado. The traffic is going to be heavy, so plan on walking or biking.

7 am – 50th Crown City Classic 12K (7.4 miles) & 5K
8:20 am – Kids Half Mile
Tidelands Park (Race Day Registration opens at 5:30 am)

7:30 am-11 pm – Fourth of July Cays Shuttle
From the corner of Grand Caribe and Coronado Cays Blvd. to the corner of Avenida de las Arenas and Silver Strand Blvd. The Free Summer Shuttle in the Village will operate from 8 am to 11 pm on July 4.

7:30 am-10 amPre-parade entertainment at each of the announcer stations on the parade route. Features MCs, music, dancing, plus chalk and other festive giveaways for kids. *CFoJ event

10 am-12 pm – Independence Day Parade

12:30 pm-2 pm – Adrian Empire Demonstration and San Diego Star Wars Society Photo-Op

2 pm – Navy Leap Frogs Aerial Demonstration
