CORONADO Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman at Spreckels Mansion, Coronado police said.
Coronado police went to the home on Ocean Boulevard Wednesday morning after the guest of a resident called 911 to report a death in the house. Officers found a woman who appeared to be in “distress,” sheriff’s officials said.
Officers began lifesaving measures but the woman was pronounced dead shortly after.
Coronado police called sheriff’s homicide investigators about 8:20 a.m. for assistance in the case. The small city does not have a full-time homicide unit of its own.
