ParkLife Member Spotlight: Mary Ann Kelly

Our success at ParkLife comes from having an outstanding team.

We’re very proud of the dedication, passion and drive that our agents bring with them every day. Most importantly, their commitment to serving the community of Coronado is nothing short of inspiring.

We couldn’t ask for anything more.

In honor of our amazing team, we decided to take time this month to highlight a member who has been with us since 2008.

If you’ve been to our office, odds are you have been greeted by Mary Ann Kelly’s warm smile. Her pleasant demeanor instantly puts you at ease. In fact, her smile sets the tone for the entire office.

It probably stems from the way she genuinely cares about people. On top of her kindhearted personality, her diligence and dedication makes the home buying process easy for her clients. She gives nothing less than 200% in all that she does.

Regardless of if she is representing you, she always has a high regard for all parties involved in the transaction. This showcases her leadership and makes her an excellent role model.

We could go on and on about all the incredible things she brings to the team, but we decided to let her tell you a little about herself:

Mary Ann Kelly

Tell us about yourself

I moved to Coronado in 1991 and I was instantly charmed by the community. I think I was most impressed by the Mayberry small town feel. And the longer I lived here the more I appreciated the family feel, the great school system and the beauty of the town. It’s been a great place to have my daughter grow up.

I’m proud to say that my daughter is graduating from the University of California, Berkeley this winter. She will earn her degree in Mechanical Engineering. After wrapping up a wonderful internship, she is excited to start her new career in the field.

Interesting Fact

I was the president of the Coronado Association of Realtors® when we decided to make the shift to become the Coronado Real Estate Association.

It wasn’t an easy transition as some Realtors were reluctant to the change and wanted to hold on to our original organization. But the change was necessary as we were not providing the services that the agents deserved for their hard earned dues.

By becoming the Coronado Real Estate Association, we’re now a trade organization and provide much more for our agents in Coronado due to our partnership with the San Diego Association of Realtors. We now have educational classes and training here at our office on the island as well as assistance with products. Services needed to be an efficient and effective agent. And our group has been totally reinvigorated to give back to our community from participating in community activities such as sponsoring Concerts in the Park to our Pet Parade Chili Cookoff to raise funds for PAWS.

I am very proud of the role and the work of the Coronado Real Estate Association. (CREA)

Your Specialty

I typically work with first time homebuyers. It’s extremely fulfilling.

First time homebuyers normally require more help throughout the process. It’s an emotional experience, and can be very nerve-wracking. I really enjoy connecting with them and helping them along their journey to homeownership. We go through the questions and decisions together, which can help take the fear out of the home buying process.

While it can be more challenging, it’s so much more interesting and dynamic.

The most rewarding part of my job is when we close on their new home. Your first home is such a magical place. I’m grateful to be a part of that process.

Why ParkLife

I love the camaraderie of the team. The environment at ParkLife is always cordial. We’re a cohesive group who wants to help each other learn how to be the best agents we can be. Not only is the team here fun to work with, everyone genuinely cares about you as a person.

I can’t imagine working in a better environment.

Final Thoughts

I’m so honored to be a part of and trusted by such a great team.

Many times agents won’t let you work with their clients. Here at ParkLife, I am often brought in to help take care of clients when agents are pulled away or out of town. Not only are they confident in my abilities to get the job done, they also trust me to work directly with their clients.

This trusting and collaborative environment makes me feel like I work with the best real estate team out there.
