Local Family Donates Tickets to Raise Money for JDRF

UPDATE: The auction ended Sunday afternoon (Nov. 29) and $805 was raised for JDRF.

This past October was the 8th year for local teenagers Jake Lamb jdrfand Dominic DeNardi to host their annual Lemonade Stand to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). JDRF is the leading global non-profit organization funding Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) research, with a goal to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications. Jake and Dominic have raised well over $55,000 over the years thanks to our generous and supportive community.

sdsuThe Lamb family has now donated for auction, four tickets to the sold-out Kansas Jayhawks vs. SDSU Aztecs basketball game on December 22, 2015.  All proceeds from the sale of these tickets will go to JDRF by way of Dom and Jake’s Lemonade Stand.

The tickets are available for bidding on eBay through this Sunday, November 29.  At publication time, the current bid is $620 (for reference, on StubHub, four similar tickets start at $1300).

SDSU vs. Kansas recent history: In January 2014, SDSU traveled to perennial powerhouse Kansas. The Aztecs beat the Jayhawks in Allen Fieldhouse, ending a Kansas run of 68 straight non-conference home wins. The last time Kansas played in San Diego was in 1978 (the Aztecs won). This is a rare opportunity to watch the sold-out Aztecs play the pre-season #4-ranked Jayhawks!

  • The game is at 8:00pm on December 22
  • Bidding ends this Sunday
