CoSA is looking to create a proactive, visionary Board of Directors filled with individuals who are committed to the next generation of artists and innovators, and who are selfless with their time, energy, and finances.

The Coronado School of the Arts Foundation Board of Directors is conducting an open search for new Directors to facilitate the expansion and vision for the 2016-17 school year. For the first time ever, the net is being cast wide in an effort to reach out to San Diego and Coronado community leaders, business men and women, Arts advocates and philanthropists, industry leaders in technology, entertainment, theater arts, and parents selected from each CoSA conservatory program.

This effort is being undertaken with the purpose of creating a proactive, visionary Board, whose primary function is to create revenue streams and opportunities to fund the Coronado School of the Arts Conservatory programs and initiatives, and to drive awareness throughout San Diego to the award-winning student performances.

While CoSA calls the Coronado High School campus home, the program is open to students from all over San Diego County based on a rigorous audition process. Currently half of the CoSA student artists are from San Diego. Celebrating twenty years in 2016, the school has built the capacity to partner with the Coronado and the San Diego communities, other non-profit organizations, businesses, and arts organizations to increase arts experiences for not only high school students but also for school-age children in the lower grade levels. The future goal of this non-profit is to partner with county-wide Arts to be a leader in providing unique quality arts experiences for students of all ages.

CoSA Board directors are individuals who are committed to the next generation of artists and innovators, and who are selfless with their time, energy, and finances. Board members are expected to volunteer, attend conservatory performances and events during the school year, attend all CoSA Foundation fundraising events, and provide support with personal expertise and skills. The members of the Board act as advocates for a strong, vibrant and diversified Arts program and as ambassadors for excellence in art education…does that sound like YOU?

If you would like to be a part of expanding our vision into the next 20 years, please contact our office for a confidential application or for more information.

Applications MUST be received by MAY 15, 2016.
